Home/The people
A marque is the sum of decisions made by particular people — from the draughtsman who drew the badge to the driver who won the first Formula 1 world championship.
The neighbours
In 1929 Enzo Ferrari founded his own team in Modena to run Alfa Romeo's racing cars. For the next six years the works Alfas won under his banner — and he himself had been both a driver and a sales agent for the marque. The first car to carry his name appeared only in 1947, after he left Portello.
